District of Columbia Centralized Lean Six Sigma Program

The purpose of this program is to enhance the professionalism of the District’s managers and its public administrators and provide them with the tools for effective leadership in the current and future environments.

Training focuses on improving customer service to the Districts internal and external customers. The services are used to train multiple city-wide teams that, once trained, research and evaluate various processes self-identified by District Agencies or indicated through customer service feedback as overly complex, burdensome, taking too much time, an unnecessary duplication of efforts, misaligned with customer needs or purpose, or resulting in unreliable or inconsistent outcomes. The inefficient processes identified by the Agencies serve as “projects” for the citywide teams to apply and demonstrate their understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Six Sigma Green and Black Belt Training Courses and Certifications

CALIBRE designs develops and delivers a Centralized Lean Six Sigma Program for Green Belt Participants.  CALIBRE ensures that Lean Six Sigma Black Belts have mastered Six Sigma techniques and strategies that will help them to lead quality projects and mentor Green Belts in District agencies.

Champion and Sponsor Training and Consultation

CALIBRE provides training for agency leaders focusing on providing managerial and technical knowledge to facilitate the leadership and the deployment of Six Sigma strategy.  Champions are upper level managers who lead the execution of the Lean Six Sigma deployment plans for the agency.  This is a critical role in successful Lean Six Sigma improvement initiative.

Kaizen Events

CALIBRE facilitates workshops with a focused goal or sets of goals for areas identified for improvement.  The events include training, data collection, brainstorming and implementation.
