CALIBRE Named SECAF Small Business Mentor / Partner of the Year
Alexandria, Virginia, May 14, 2018 – CALIBRE Systems, Inc. (CALIBRE) announced it was named the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Small Business Mentor / Partner of the Year at the 2018 SECAF Awards Gala. The Small Business Mentor / Partner of the Year award recognizes a large business that has demonstrated its ability to establish and support mentorships, teaming, partnerships, and other beneficial programs for small businesses.
“It is an honor to be recognized by such a respected organization as SECAF,” said CALIBRE President & CEO Joe Martore. “CALIBRE has been, and continues to be, committed to building strong relationships with small business partners and providing them with the resources to develop their capabilities and corporate infrastructure.”
As a result of mentor-protégé programs, the federal government and companies such as CALIBRE have access to a stronger base of government contractors that are primed for success on government contracts and subcontracts. For example, the mentor-protégé efforts of the CALIBRE and Yorktown Systems employees have helped Yorktown win federal contracts and grow from $10 million three years ago to over $75 million last year.
CALIBRE is an employee-owned management consulting and information technology solutions company supporting government and industry. CALIBRE delivers enduring solutions that solve management, technology, and program challenges in the areas of financial performance and logistics; health and information management; human capital training and management; and infrastructure, engineering, and environment.
