Hyoshin (Tyler) Kim
Vice President, Finance & Accounting and Controller
As the Vice President, Finance and Accounting and the Corporate Treasurer, Mr. Kim is responsible for ensuring that CALIBRE’s fiscal operations are managed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; the Federal Acquisition Regulation; Cost Accounting Standards; and Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and other standards and regulations. Mr. Kim oversees internal and external financial reporting and audits, capital budgets, and cash flow planning. He provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others and fosters continual improvement of the budget and cost management processes through education of Division and Corporate Staff leaders on financial issues. Mr. Kim provides strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization to include financial evaluation of potential mergers & acquisition (M&A) activities and investments.
Mr. Kim joined CALIBRE in March 2008 as an Accounting Manager. Prior to joining CALIBRE, Mr. Kim held several management positions at various public accounting firms. He managed multiple audit and tax engagements at the same time from the planning to wrap-up and reviewed work papers, financial reports, and tax returns to ensure compliance with the public accounting firm’s quality control standards. Mr. Kim conducted tax planning, research, and compliance work for various business types as well as individuals. He also conducted business valuation engagements in support of M&A, succession planning, gifting, divorce, and other needs.
Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from George Mason University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
